Lingering questions remain about SHIELD in New York and the GDPR in Europe and Great Britain. For nonprofits, donor data is consumer data: privacy laws apply. In addition to two new laws this year, CCPA and SHIELD, multiple bills are still pending in 20 states and at the federal level (COPRA). There are also new third-party requirements. Google requires all websites to have a comprehensive and up-to-date privacy policy in order to access services and tools like Google Analytics and AdSense. Here are laws that came into effect this year and the privacy requirements which commonly affect nonprofits: - CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) - SHIELD (Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data) - CalOPPA (California Online Privacy Protection Act) - GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) - Google Analytics and AdSense *See where your nonprofit stands on privacy* ## How does Elevation help nonprofits?
